I have been using the Amazon Essential Boat Shoes as a work shoe for the past month and have found it to be pretty comfortable. They are surprisingly wider than I expected, and I have slightly wide feet, but adjusting the laces helps tighten them up. Working in these shoes for 8 hours at a time did not present an issue nor did I have any issues feeling my vehicle’s pedals. The white soles dirty easily, walking around a carpeted office they turned black quickly and was a bit difficult to clean Overall, I am happy with these shoes, they are comfortable and look good as a casual shoe.

I gotta say, these shoes look pretty nice. I feel like it might even count as business casual. It's black leather with a white shoe lace. The stitches are okay, good enough for its price point. Very comfortable.

My husband is the kind of guy that likes to be comfortable. When he is home, he is usually in athletic shorts/pants and a comfy t-shirt. However, when we go out, sometimes he likes to dress nicer and wearing athletic shoes with a nicer outfit just doesn't look right. These are perfect for those occasions when he is wearing khaki shorts and a nicer shirt! Not too dressy or sneaker casual.

When wearing them with shorts, my husband opts for no show socks. You can still see them a tiny bit but they are barely noticeable.

He opted for the "grey" color. It's a nice, neutral shade that goes with a lot of other neutrals. However, the photo in the listing makes them look more of a greyish-brown but in person, they are definitely more grey.

My husband wears a 10.5 and they were true to size.

While they aren't incredibly padded, he has worn them on many occasions and never complained about them being uncomfortable. He said that it wasn't a shoe that he would want to wear for hours on end, like walking around a theme park all day, but for everyday occasions and outings, they are plenty comfortable and supportive.

The shoes feel super solid and well made.

The sole is non-slip and sturdy. My husband has worn them on rainy days and they don't slip around like many other shoes!

Since the laces don't tie, the shoes may feel a little loose when you are walking. If you pair with a thicker sock, this will combat that problem!

This is exactly as you see it and is simply a boat shoe. The materials and the construction are more than adequate but it is a utility shoe and definitely not a dress item. As an inexpensive alternative, it serves that purpose very well, indeed.

I needed something casual and comfortable to wear on my next cruise because my other shoes were showing signs of wear. I saw these on Amazon and immediately ordered them! The style is perfect, and the shoes look really nice! Perfect to wear around the ship during casual times. The grey color looks great, and I cannot believe how comfortable these shoes really feel. I was thinking after a while they would not stay very comfortable, but I was wrong. Even wearing them all day long they felt great at the end of the day! The soles have a really good grip on them so even on wet surfaces there should be very little chances of slipping. As you can see from the attached review photos, the shoes are packed very well, with cardboard tubing inserted into them to help keep their shape during transit. I am hoping these shoes stay looking nice and comfortable for years to come as I have many more cruises already planned for the future!

I love this type of shoe and my last pair wore out years ago. So, I was sure glad to see these.

They are very nice shoes - very good looking. I tried them on and they fit perfectly. I ordered my normal size, so I think the sizes are true.

I haven't had a chance to wear them for a long period yet. I did put them on and wore them around the house for a few hours. I always do that with shoes before I put them on to go somewhere for a full day. Doing it tells me just how comfy they are, or aren't. It also helps with breaking them in.

Like I said, these look very nice. The color I ordered is Khaki and it looks much better in person than in the pictures. The materials in the shoes are high quality. They are well made and I believe they will be durable.

I'm so happy with these shoes. Great fit and great looking. I do recommend them.

I seem to send most of my time wearing boat shoes. They’re easy to put on and remove, and typically have excellent traction. These seem to meet the bill. The fit seems a bit snug compared to the same size Sperry or L.L. Bean brands that I usually wear, but perhaps I haven’t worn them long enough to break them in. They certainly look nice enough. I can’t tell them from real leather, but then again I’m not sure what ‘faux leather’ is. The big selling point is the price, about a third of what I’ve paid recently. It’s worth giving them a try.
